About SaskInno Lignocell Bioproducts Inc.
Advancing sustainable materials and bioproducts through lignocellulosic biomass innovation.
Who We Are
SaskInno Lignocell Bioproducts Inc. is a company focused on the development of sustainable bio-based materials derived from lignocellulosic and agricultural residues.
Our work bridges scientific research and industrial production, transforming biomass components such as cellulose, nanocellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, protein, starch, and minerals into practical materials for pulp and paper products, packaging, agriculture, food and feed sectors, pharmaceutical applications, bio-based composites and advanced biomaterials.
Biomass Processing
Extraction, fractionation, and modification of cellulose, nanocellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, and other bio-based materials from agricultural and lignocellulosic feedstocks using scalable and sustainable processes.
Materials Development
Development of functional bio-based materials including cellulose products, molded fiber products, lignin-based adhesives, bio-based fertilizers, bio-composites, bio-based sweeteners, probiotics and functional foods, and value-added intermediates.
Applied Research & Scale-Up
Pilot-scale validation, material characterization, performance testing, and translation of laboratory research into industrially relevant solutions.
Our Approach
Our approach emphasizes technical rigor, sustainability, and real-world applicability. We focus on developing solutions that align with industrial requirements while supporting circular economy principles and reduced environmental impact.
By integrating research, process development, and application-driven design, we support partners across research, pilot-scale, early commercialization stages, and industrial units.
Collaboration and Partnerships
We collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and research organizations to develop, test, and scale bio-based materials and technologies.
Collaboration opportunities include joint research projects, pilot trials, material testing, technology development initiatives, and running new products.
